There are many things to do for you and your family that are within striking distance from your cottage. During spring and summer, the area is bustling with festivals and events while the laughter of young families fills the air. In the quieter fall and winter, our resort becomes a tranquil home base for our guests to explore the surrounding nature.

Whether you like to just sit and relax by your vacation rental, meander the local sandy beaches and hiking trails, or partake in the many attractions that bring so many beach seekers to our area, there is something for everyone here.

Nature

High on the popularity list is beautiful Rathtrevor Beach Provincial Park at a 15-minute walk from the resort. Walk along kilometres of wide-open sand, go swimming, or explore shallow tidal pools. This park also boasts a lengthy network of walking and biking trials which meander through magnificent old-growth forests.
Take your dog on one of the many great off-leash hiking trails in Top Bridge Park, which is within walking distance from our resort.
Go caving in the Horne Lake Caves.
Hike in Englishman River Falls Provincial Park and visit its 2 scenic waterfalls.
Wander through a nearby old-growth forest in Cathedral Grove.
Enjoy the unspoilt natural beauty of Milner Gardens & Woodland’s garden oasis.

Next-door Riptide Lagoon Adventure Park boasts two 18-hole mini golf courses, laser tag bumper cars, and an arcade for endless family fun.
Race around a 35-turn NASkart race track, throw an axe, or try your hand at archery at Fast Time Amusements.
Take advantage of the 5 outstanding golf courses minutes away from the resort.
Explore an art exhibit at The Old School House Arts Centre.
Visit nearby Coombs, home of Butterfly World and the famous Goats on the Roof Old Country Market.

During the summer, there's a free shuttle service between Parksville's Resort area and downtown. Vancouver Island's largest shopping mall in Nanaimo is also just a short drive away.

We're also an ideal base for exploring the rest of Vancouver Island. Historic Victoria, quaint Campbell River and the rugged natural beauty of the Pacific Rim National Park are all within a two-hour drive.
Tofino/Ucluelet storm watching is a must-do in the winter, and a mere 3-hour drive from our resort.
