During spring and summer, the area is bustling with festivals and events while the laughter of young families fills the air. In the quieter fall and winter, our resort becomes a tranquil home base for our guests to explore the surrounding nature.

Whether you like to just sit and relax by your vacation rental, meander the local sandy beaches and hiking trails, or partake in the many attractions that bring so many beach seekers to our area, there is something for everyone here.

  • Next-door Riptide Lagoon Adventure Park boasts two 18-hole mini golf courses, laser tag bumper cars, and an arcade for endless family fun.
  • Race around a 35-turn NASkart race track, throw an axe, or try your hand at archery at Fast Time Amusements.
  • Take advantage of the 5 outstanding golf courses minutes away from the resort.
  • Explore an art exhibit at The Old School House Arts Centre.
  • Visit nearby Coombs, home of Butterfly World and the famous Goats on the Roof Old Country Market.
  • Pick up some fresh milk from Canada’s first milk-on-tap dispenser and learn about cheese/wine making during demonstrations at Morningstar Farm. Kids can explore the barns to meet the various farm animals up close.
  • If you’d prefer something stronger than milk, a visit to the tasting room at the Mount Arrowsmith Brewing Company may be for you.
  • Learn all about the various animals currently being cared for at the North Island Wildlife Recovery Centre.
  • A fan of shopping? Discover a variety of shops, cafes, grocery and specialty stores in Parksville's downtown district. During the summer, there's a free shuttle service between Parksville's Resort area and downtown. Vancouver Island's largest shopping mall in Nanaimo is also just a short drive away.
